Witnesses of Silence

Each canvas in this series is a witness to the emotions derived from the pandemic: uncertainty, fear, confusion, loneliness, doubt, distancing, joy, peacefulness, love.

This has been a time to be with myself, to find myself again, it was a reencounter with my own being and my own esence.

Witnesses of Silence is a halt to the world, the stillness of a planet, something we have never lived before! And that feeling is what I transferred to my paintings.

This is a series that will always remind me of the moments we lived around Covid-19, and not all of it is negative. It taught us to teasure each moment, to remember how fragile life can be, to relive moments and emotions, to dream and create fantasies and illusions again!

This series led me to experiment with other colors, spring colors, colors of joy that blend in my own self into colors of hope, giving me the feeling that the best is yet to come.

Witnesses of Silence is the expression of feelings never before felt, it is the most pure expression of my being before the pandemic. It is the canvases that have been with me in this new life experience that is still ongoing… and that is why the series is ongoing as well.
